I feel very blessed to come full circle, to actually enjoy the space that we dreamt about as teenagers and am so excited about the future renewal plans for this wonderful site!

After working over 37 years for VPL, in January 2015, I became the Branch Head of the Britannia Library, which is very unique in that it is a joint Elementary/Secondary School and Public Library. The whole Britannia site is very special to me because in the 1960s, I attended Britannia Secondary School and, under the guidance of our Social Studies teacher, John Minichiello and older students like Enzo Guerriero, the students were mobilized to go into the community and especially to share with our parents the vision of a new Britannia community complex with a Community Centre, two VSB schools, the Public Library, and other services to meet the needs of this community.
