Britannia has taught me the importance of having people that support you through your journey.

Britannia: my second home. I moved to Canada in 2017, which is when I was introduced to Britannia Secondary School. Quickly after, I felt a sense of community that I had never felt before. Everyone welcomed me and my family into the community—I was so grateful. Since I was introduced to Britannia, I have learned many things: one of which is giving back to my community. Britannia has taught me the importance of having people that support you through your journey. Through Britannia, I have met some of the most talented, kind-hearted and amazing people, which I am so grateful for. Britannia is the community that I was always looking to have as a child. And now that I have this amazing community, I try to do anything in my power to give back to the community and the people who welcomed my family and I into this country. Volunteering is one of my biggest passions and I am always looking for opportunities to give back and better my community. Britannia has helped me become a strong and aspiring leader who tries to support and motivate youth that are eager to give back and learn, like myself.
